Allen Laundry Equipment has been providing commercial washer and dryer vending service in Rockport, Aransas Pass, and most of South Texas since 1998. They have teamed up with area RV parks and apartment complexes to help take care of their laundry needs. Allen Laundry has 5 full-scale laundromats; the latest one just opened in Aransas Pass.
"Even though we are based out of Rockport, we consider the surrounding areas to be family because we have family and friends that are dear to us in these towns, and in these communities, and they are not far from home," said Allen Laundry Equipment Field Operations Manager Lenn Olivarez.
Over the past several years, the coin-operated laundry industry has undergone a revolution. They are no longer gloomy, dull, boring places that customers must endure on a weekly basis.
"We want to make it comfortable and safe, providing a safe environment for the customers and the residence. It is a partnership that we are doing, and we feel that we are connecting with the people by helping keeping them safe and providing quality machines," said Olivarez.
The coin-operated laundry industry has changed in response to several trends. Owning a laundromat can be a challenge, but you don’t have to go it alone. Allen Laundry Equipment is making it easy to be a part of the laundromat businesses.
"In our vending business with RV Parks and apartment complexes, we go in to help provide the owners with brand new machines, and their residents don't have to leave the park or property. What we do is offer a partnership of 50-50 split, it is 50 percent, 50 percent. The business will provide the water and utilities, and we provide the machines at no cost to the business owner. We believe it is extremely beneficial because regarding the equipment itself, not a single dime comes out of their pocket. We provide the machines, and they are good quality machines, top of the line," said Olivarez.
In addition, Allen Laundry Equipment has realized that it can maximize its profits by providing customers with access to multiple services like Stinky Socks, Wash, Dry, and Fold.
"That is inside our full-scale laundromats; people can just come in and drop off their clothes, and we have drive-thru locations in Gregory-Portland and a drive-thru location here in Aransas Pass. You don't even have to get out of your vehicle. You just pull up, and Stinky Socks comes out and pulls your information, gets your clothes, and they have it ready for you," said Olivarez.
The mission is to provide quality equipment and customer satisfaction to where people want to keep coming back.
"Everything we lay our hands on, we bless it, and put it in God's hands. So when the customers walk in, they are going to feel that extra peace. They may not understand what it is, but that is what it is. We believe God's hands are on this, and they can rest while they are here. They can watch TV, they can plug into the outlets and charge their phones, get on their laptop, and do what they need to do. It is more than just a laundromat; we provide more than just a service, we are putting ourselves out there for you in every way we can," said Olivarez.
